Rotten Log Replacement in Blue Ridge, GA

Two bottom logs were very rotten on this little log home. A deck had been added in the past, and as we often see, it ended up causing rot due to splash up damage from rain even though there were gutters on the roof.

We excavated more than half of the log, and installed new ones. We installed borate rods in the logs, foamed any gaps and cracks with waterproof foam, and then caulked over all the foam with Big Stretch acrylic log home caulk.
